Brick by brick, the small businesses in our region have supported this fundraiser that will change the life of one family and have a ripple effect across the local and regional economies.
The House That Small Business Built in Charles City County will be sold to a widowed father, who will live there with his four daughters. He will buy the house through the Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg first-time Homebuyer Program and pay the no-interest mortgage back to the local nonprofit. Those funds will be cycled back into the community so more Habitat homes can be built.
