 Volunteers help at a Habitat for Humanity home

Community, Pizza, and a Purpose: Recapping Our Bird Girl Bottle Shop Give Back Night

There are few better ways to bring people together than pizza, creativity, and a shared commitment to building stronger communities.

Our Give Back Night at Bird Girl Bottle Shop was filled with all three. Friends, families, supporters, and neighbors gathered for an evening of great food, DIY birdhouses, raffle prizes, and plenty of conversation, all while supporting Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg.

The Stud Finder pizza quickly became the star of the night, and thanks to Bird Girl Bottle Shop’s generous partnership, 10% of the day’s pizza sales were donated to Habitat. Combined with the evening’s fundraising activities, the event raised $230 to help support our mission.

We’re incredibly grateful to Bird Girl Bottle Shop for hosting us and to everyone who stopped by, grabbed a slice, painted a birdhouse, or simply spent part of their evening with us.

Every community gathering like this helps raise awareness, build connections, and support the work of creating more affordable homeownership opportunities throughout our region.

We help as many families as we can, but the lack of decent and affordable housing remains a critical problem in our area. By donating, you will provide upfront funding for building materials and services that makes interest-free loans to Habitat partner families possible. Habitat partner families help to build their own homes - alongside volunteers - and pay an affordable mortgage. Your monetary donations enable us to continue building strength, stability and independence for future local families.
