Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg has released its 2025 Annual Report, highlighting a milestone year that celebrated the organization’s 40th anniversary while demonstrating continued progress in addressing the region’s affordable housing needs.

The report reflects a year of impact, growth and transition, including the organization’s service to families across the Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg through homeownership, home repair and ReStore programs, as well as the leadership transition welcoming Shauntrice Williams as chief executive officer.

“In 2025, we reflected on four decades of service while recommitting ourselves to the work ahead,” said Shauntrice Williams, CEO of Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg. “This annual report tells the story of what is possible when a community comes together to ensure that more families have access to affordable housing.”

According to the report, Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg partnered with local families to support affordable homeownership and completed exterior home repairs that helped seniors, veterans and families remain safely in their homes. The organization also expanded its ReStore impact, generating essential funding for housing programs while diverting hundreds of thousands of reusable items from local landfills. More than 32,000 volunteer hours were logged in support of Habitat’s mission during the fiscal year, representing over $1.1 million in volunteer labor value.

Financial highlights included a continued commitment to stewardship, with 94 cents of every dollar spent supporting housing programs. The report also documents the success of community fundraising events, corporate and faith-based partnerships, and the launch of new initiatives that strengthened Habitat’s service area and long-term sustainability.

The 2025 Annual Report features stories from Habitat homeowners, volunteers and partners, along with a look back at the organization’s 40-year history of building affordable housing solutions throughout the region. It also outlines Habitat’s vision moving forward as the need for attainable housing continues to grow.
