The Virginia Peninsula Chamber is proud to spearhead a transformative initiative to fund the construction of a new Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg house right here in our local community.
This project embodies the Chamber’s commitment to foster community growth, support local families and inspire responsible business leadership.
Want to get involved?
The Virginia Peninsula Chamber is calling on local businesses to join in building not just a house, but a future of stability and hope for our neighbors in need.
Your support—whether through financial contributions, in-kind donations or volunteer efforts—will make a lasting impact on our community.
Together, we can build a stronger Virginia Peninsula for all.
Many people think Habitat gives homes away – but we don’t!
Habitat sells homes to qualified families with low to moderate incomes with a 20-30 year no-interest mortgage. Every homebuyer has to have good credit history and perform 300 hours of sweat equity.
Thank you to all who continue to help Habitat for Humanity provide families decent, affordable houses, which will build strong communities for generations to come.
Square Foot Challenge
Virginia Peninsula Chamber has joined with Habitat for Humanity Peninsula & Greater Williamsburg to raise $125,000 to build a home locally.
We are challenging you to buy squares! One square foot of the Virginia Peninsula Chamber Habitat House costs $105. The supporter who purchases the most square footage between May 1–31, 2025, will receive premium recognition.
