Run the D.O.G. 5K in Support of Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg
Do something to benefit both you and Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg by registering for the 13th annual Run the D.O.G., a 5K that raises funds to bring people together to build homes, communities and hope.
Race day is April 16, 2022.
Proceeds will be used to build a home for a family to buy through Habitat’s Homebuyer Program. Qualifying families with low to moderate incomes who have excellent credit and steady employment purchase a home with a zero-interest mortgage and payments are then recycled to build more Habitat homes.
By registering for Run the D.O.G., you support Habitat in multiple ways. A portion of your registration fee will go directly to Habitat. You can sign up as an individual and fundraise on your own, create your own team or join an existing team.
Runners start on Prince George Street, pass the Governor’s Palace and the Colonial Capitol building, and finish the final 800 meters on what Franklin D. Roosevelt referred to as “the most storied avenue in all of America,” Duke of Gloucester Street.
When you choose to run, walk or participate virtually, you support the mission of Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg.
