U.S. Marine Corps Veteran Receives New Roof Through Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project

Eric Jones, Sr., a U.S. Marine Corps veteran in Hampton, received a new roof on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from Home Genius Exteriors, an Owens Corning Platinum Roofing Contractor, as part of the Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project.
Through a partnership with Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg, Jones was selected and approved as the recipient for the roof replacement. Habitat worked closely with Home Genius Exteriors to coordinate the project and ensure the veteran’s home received the critical repair needed to maintain safety and stability.
The Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project is a nationwide effort to show gratitude and honor the veterans who served our country and the families who support them. Since the inception of this program in 2016, more than 750 military members have received new roofs. Each project represents a collaborative commitment between Owens Corning, its network of Platinum Roofing Contractors and local nonprofits to support those who have given so much in service.
For this installation, the Owens Corning Foundation donated all roofing materials, while Home Genius Exteriors generously donated the labor and expertise to complete the project.
