Live Life in 3D Groundbreaking Event

You’re invited to join us VIRTUALLY for the groundbreaking of Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg’s 3D printed house, the first of its kind for Habitat on the East Coast and only the second in the nation.

The home will be located in Williamsburg and approximately 1,200-square-feet with three bedrooms and two full bathrooms.
The home is being built in partnership with Alquist, a 3D printed home construction company. Alquist will use concrete to print the exterior walls, which saves up to 15% per square foot in building costs based on preliminary estimates.
Once completed, the home will be sold to a family of two from Williamsburg that has met the criteria to buy a Habitat for Humanity home, which requires an income of less than 80% of the area median income. The family will attend the groundbreaking and be available for interviews.
The event will be held rain or shine and last no more than one hour.
The 3D machine will not be on-site and no printing will occur at this ceremony.
