HGTV’s Egypt Sherrod Joins Local Habitat for “Believe & Build: A Breakfast for Change”

Habitat for Humanity Believe & Build Breakfast 2025 with Egypt Sherrod

Hope has a seat at the table this fall as Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg hosts its inaugural Believe & Build: A Breakfast for Change. On Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025, community members will gather for a morning of inspiration and impact, highlighted by a keynote fireside chat with Egypt Sherrod, HGTV’s Married with Real Estate, and voices of local and regional leaders committed to building stronger futures together.

This inspiring breakfast, a fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg, will bring together community members, sponsors and advocates to celebrate Habitat’s mission and support its first-time homebuyer program.

“Affordable housing isn’t just a roof over someone’s head — it’s the foundation of a thriving community,” said Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg CEO Shauntrice Williams. “In times like these, it’s more important than ever that we come together, united in purpose, to ensure every family has the dignity, stability and opportunity that a home provides.”

Special remarks and presentations will also come from Habitat homebuyers; Jonathan Reckford, CEO of Habitat for Humanity International; Amber Price, Senior Vice President, Enterprise Chief Nursing Officer, Sentara; Terri Francis, Neighborhood Services Manager, City of Newport News; and Chris Thompson, Director of Strategic Housing, Virginia Housing.

“Believe & Build is more than a breakfast — it’s a call to action,” said Williams.

Tickets are on sale now and sponsorship opportunities are available. Every ticket and sponsorship helps fund Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg’s first-time homebuyer program, supporting the organization’s mission to build homes, communities and hope.

Selected homebuyers purchase their homes through an affordable mortgage over 20 to 30 years. In addition to financial qualifications, selected applicants must contribute at least 300 hours of sweat equity by helping build their own home and the homes of others.
