Adopted unanimously by the Virginia Senate earlier this year, Senate Resolution No. 326 commends Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg “for 40 years of promoting access to affordable housing and building stronger communities throughout the Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg.”

The resolution highlights the organization’s impact since its founding in 1985, noting that it has constructed and renovated hundreds of homes in partnership with families who contribute sweat equity and purchase their homes through affordable mortgages.”

It further recognizes Habitat’s “commitment to breaking the cycle of poverty and empowering families to achieve stability and self-sufficiency through homeownership.”

Delegate Price, who represents the 95th House District, led the presentation of the resolution, emphasizing Habitat’s long-standing role in addressing housing needs and improving quality of life across the region.
