Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg Earns More than $1,800 for Homebuilding Projects through Target Circle Giving Program

Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg is thrilled to announce that it has earned 77,680 votes through the Target Circle Giving Program, resulting in a donation of $1,822.85. These funds will be used to support the nonprofit’s ongoing mission to build affordable homes for families in need within the local community.

The Target Circle Giving Program allows Target shoppers to vote for local nonprofits, allocating funds based on the number of votes each organization receives. Thanks to the overwhelming support from Target customers, Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg is one step closer to creating more affordable housing solutions for families in need.

“We are deeply grateful to everyone who chose to support us through the Target Circle Giving Program,” said Janet V. Green, CEO of Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg. “Every vote made a difference, and the funds we’ve received will
help us continue building affordable homes for hardworking families in our
community.”

Habitat for Humanity builds affordable homes in partnership with local families. Homes are purchased with a zero-interest, 20- to 30-year mortgage by families with low to moderate incomes.

The donation from the Target Circle Giving Program will directly impact upcoming homebuilding projects, helping more local families achieve the dream of homeownership. Habitat for Humanity relies on partnerships like this to fund its mission, which includes not only building homes but also providing education and resources to ensure long-term housing stability.

“We are proud to be part of such a generous community that supports our vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live,” added Green. “This gift from the Target Circle program will help us continue empowering families through affordable housing.”
