Love Vintage Finds? Help Power the Habitat ReStore eStore.

Behind every great thrifted treasure is a little bit of behind-the-scenes magic. At the Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg ReStore eStore, that magic comes from a small but dedicated team working to process donated items and prepare them for online sale.
Now, they’re looking for volunteers to join the effort.
ReStore eStore volunteers play an important role in helping unique donated items find new homes while supporting Habitat’s mission to make housing more affordable right here in the local community.
It’s hands-on, rewarding work—and perfect for anyone who enjoys vintage goods, organization and the thrill of discovering interesting items.

What does a typical day look like?
Volunteers help staff with a variety of tasks that keep the eStore running smoothly, including:
- Packing items for shipment
- Cleaning and processing donated goods
- Conducting simple research on items
- Organizing inventory and workspace
From antique décor to unexpected one-of-a-kind finds, volunteers often get a first look at the fascinating items that come through the ReStore.
There may also be opportunities throughout the year to support the team at offsite events, helping represent the ReStore and showcase unique pieces available through the eStore.
Who would be a great fit?
This opportunity is ideal for someone who:
- Enjoys working with vintage or donated items
- Appreciates organization and hands-on tasks
- Likes being part of a collaborative team
- Can lift up to 30 pounds and bend, stoop or stand as needed
Flexible schedule
The eStore volunteer role offers flexible weekday hours Monday through Friday, with options for morning or afternoon shifts.
Make an impact while doing something you enjoy
Every item processed, packed and shipped helps generate funding that supports Habitat’s work in the community. By volunteering with the ReStore eStore team, you’re helping donated goods find new life—and helping families build brighter futures.
If you enjoy discovering unique items and want to make a meaningful impact, the ReStore team would love to welcome you.
