DESCRIPTION:CALLING ALL TEAM LEADER VOLUNTEERS for our upcoming Home Repair Blitz in Newport News and Hampton! \nDo you have carpentry\, general construction or home repair skills? Volunteer as a TEAM LEADER at our upcoming 2023 Hampton and Newport News Home Repair Blitz! \nWe need SKILLED volunteers to work as Team Leaders as we assist veteran\, low-income\, elderly or disabled homeowners with: \n-exterior carpentry (replace hand rails\, porches\, stairs\, ramps\, etc.)\n-house & siding painting -other minor exterior repairs (steps\, gutters\, fence)\n-safety-related improvements \nEach Team Leader will “adopt” a house\, and oversee the projects and volunteers on that home. Team Leaders will generally commit at least 5-6 hours of prep time prior to the event and also commit all day of the event or the proposed rain date at his or her pre-selected home. \nTeam Leaders should aim to be available on SATURDAY\, SEPTEMBER 23\, 2023 \nIf you are interested in serving as a Team Leader\, please plan to attend this Team Leader Orientation Thursday\, August 10\, 2023 at 6 p.m. at the Habitat Program Office at 11011 Warwick Blvd. in Newport News. \nQuestions?
